Olivia Crane

Olivia Crane is a violinist from Annapolis, Maryland. She started learning violin in the Suzuki Method in second grade, studied with James Stern at the University of Maryland in high school, and now takes lessons with Daniel Sender at UVA. Olivia served as concertmistress of the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra, where she soloed Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, and of her school Camerata, where she soloed Vivaldi’s Winter and Williams’s Theme from Schindler’s List. On Grounds, she plays in the Charlottesville Symphony Orchestra and in chamber music. Olivia also loves drawing and painting in the classical style and looks forward to combining these different art forms as a Miller Arts Scholar. She plans to study English and music.
