Niamh Kierans

Niamh Kierans is a singer-songwriter from Marshall, Virginia majoring in English and Medieval Studies. Having spent her early childhood as part of a Foreign Service family, Niamh wrote her first song about the difficulties of frequent moving. Once firmly established in Virginia at the age of eight, she began to study voice and guitar. Since then, she has written, co-produced, and released two full-length albums and two double A-side records. Outside of songwriting, Niamh has participated in choir since the fourth grade, performing in all-county and all-district choruses. She is now a member of the UVA University Singers, Chamber Singers, and the a cappella group Hoos in Treble, in which she serves as assistant music director. Niamh is excited to be among so many talented artists within the Miller Arts Community and greatly looks forward to learning all she can from the program.
