Elliot Renenger

Eliott Renenger is a cellist and bassist from Mclean, Virginia. He plans to study Economics, Statistics, and Music. He is interested in making classical music more accessible and using music to positively influence others lives. Eliott began playing the cello at the age of thirteen. Despite the late start, he quickly developed a love for the instrument. He joined 9th Street Chamber Ensemble, was a participant of Eastern Music Festival, and played a masterclass for noted American soloist Julian Schwartz. At UVA, Eliott is involved in the cello studio where he takes lessons from Professor Adam Carter, various chamber ensembles, and the Charlottesville Symphony. He has had the opportunity to play masterclasses for Aeolus Quartet, the resident quartet at Julliard, and Laszlo Polus, the principal cellist of the Hungarian State Opera. Eliott is excited to learn with and from students in diverse artistic disciplines and is honored to be a member of the Miller Arts community.
