Abigail Lee

Abigail Lee is a second-year student at the University of Virginia majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Dance. Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, she trained at the Institute for Dance and the York County School of the Arts, developing a strong foundation in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and contemporary dance alongside performance and choreographic experience. At UVA, Abigail performs in Drama Department productions and is an active member of the University Dance Club.  Her interdisciplinary interests explore the intersection of dance and neuroscience, particularly how movement and embodied expression relate to cognition, emotional processing, and neurological health. In addition to her artistic work, Abigail conducts undergraduate research at the University of Virginia School of Medicine studying metabolic processes in glioblastoma. She is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician and a founding member of the service-focused student organization The For Good Project. Abigail is honored to be a Miller Arts Scholar and is grateful to be part of a collaborative artistic community.
