Inaugural MASterclass on “Music Arrangement & Production in Logic Pro X” – Oct 16, 2025

The Miller Arts Scholars Program (MAS) is thrilled to launch a new initiative: MASterclasses, a brand-new series of interactive, skill-based workshops led by Miller Arts Scholars and open to all UVA students. Each session is designed to explore creative techniques, deepen artistic understanding, and inspire hands-on exploration across disciplines.

Our inaugural MASterclass, “Music Arrangement & Production in Logic Pro X,” taking place on October 16, will be led by MAS Co-Presidents and accomplished Music majors:

  • Jack Ireland (4th Year, Music & Drama), a composer and producer with over 3 million Spotify streams and 4,000+ YouTube subscribers under his alias Snivys. He is currently working on a remix collaboration album slated for release in January 2026.
  • Maxwell Mitchell (4th Year, Music & Economics), a producer of original music with more than six years of experience. He interned part-time at a music studio in Los Angeles this past summer and is currently developing an electronic album as part of his Distinguished Major Project in Music.

Date: Thursday, October 16, 2025
Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Location: Drama Building, Room 217

At this workshop, Jack and Maxwell will share their creative processes and walk participants through their workflows in Logic Pro X, highlighting how they compose, arrange, and produce music. They’ll also answer questions and invite participants to collaborate in real time, building an original song together from scratch.

Whether you’re an experienced musician or just curious about music production, this MASterclass will spark your creativity and connect you with UVA’s Miller Arts Scholars vibrant community. Come ready to learn, experiment, and create!

  • Open to all UVA students. No prior experience required.
  • Cookies included — because creativity is even better with something sweet.
